A New Chapter: Shifting Focus to Beyond Prepared

The Prepared Guy channel is evolving.

For a long time, this channel has been defined by gear reviews. While I’ve enjoyed checking out great products, I’ve reached a point where the industry has hit a wall. There is a lack of creativity across the board, and I am no longer willing to invest my time in redundant reviews of the same flashlights with nothing more than a new color or a slight tweak to a button. There is nothing noteworthy being produced, and I’ve found myself trapped in a review cycle that has become stale.

I initially set out to build a preparedness channel, but I got caught in the gear grind. I’ve always operated by my own rules—I do not accept payment for reviews, and I only ever featured products I felt were worth my time. However, the return on the effort required for these in-depth reviews no longer makes sense.

Because of this, I am shifting my focus to my new project: the Beyond Prepared Podcast.

While gear will still have a place on the channel through small, occasional suggestions, the core mission is changing. This podcast will be a convergence of everything I’ve built here, expanded into the deeper, unusual aspects of reality. We will be discussing the whole gamut: from the UAP/UFO and alien narrative to deep-dive conspiracies, advanced tech, ancient civilizations, and biblical prophecies.

Most importantly, we are going to explore how these topics actually affect your preparedness. It’s time to move past the gear and talk about the reality of what happens when the shit hits the fan.

I am looking forward to collaborating on this project with my co-host and the assistants who have stuck with this channel for many years. We are diving head-first into a long-anticipated project that finally ties the world of preparedness into the world of beyond preparedness.
